This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the TripStack Vacation Planner application ("the App"), including travel booking services provided through third-party partners. Contact Information
Name — collected for account personalization and app functionality. Linked to your identity.
Email Address — collected for authentication, app functionality, and customer support. Linked to your identity.
Location Data
Precise Location — collected when you use map and navigation features to provide directions, nearby places, and trip planning. Used for app functionality. Linked to your identity.
You can revoke location permissions at any time in your device Settings.
User Content
Photos or Videos — you may grant the App access to your photo library to add trip photos and scan receipts. Photos are processed on-device and are not uploaded to external servers. Used for app functionality. Linked to your identity.
Customer Support — data you provide when contacting support, including correspondence and attachments. Used for app functionality. Linked to your identity.
Trip details, expenses, budget data, and scanned receipts you create within the App are stored on your device and optionally synced via iCloud.
Identifiers
User ID — your account identifier used for app functionality. Linked to your identity.
Purchases
Purchase History — records of in-app purchases and subscriptions used for app functionality. Linked to your identity.
Usage Data
Product Interaction — data about how you interact with the App (screens visited, features used, actions taken). Used for analytics and app functionality. Linked to your identity.
Diagnostics
Crash Data — information about app crashes and errors used for improving stability. Used for app functionality and analytics. Linked to your identity.
Performance Data — metrics about app performance (load times, responsiveness). Used for app functionality and analytics. Linked to your identity.
How We Use Your Information
To provide, maintain, and improve the TripStack app experience
To display weather, maps, and destination photos for your trips
To process receipt scans and extract expense data on-device
To convert currencies using real-time exchange rates
To manage your subscription status through Apple StoreKit
To facilitate flight, hotel, and travel bookings through our third-party booking partners
To share necessary booking details (name, email, travel dates) with travel service providers to complete your reservations
For analytics and understanding how users interact with the App
To send relevant notifications (if enabled)
To provide customer support and respond to inquiries
Tracking
TripStack does not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
We do not use any advertising tracking or share your data with data brokers.
Data Linked to You
The following data may be collected and linked to your identity: Name, Email Address, Precise Location, Photos or Videos, Customer Support, User ID, Purchases, Product Interaction, Crash Data, and Performance Data.
Third-Party Services & Booking Partners
Pexels API — for destination photos (subject to Pexels privacy policy)
Apple Services — for Sign in with Apple, maps, weather, iCloud sync, and in-app purchases
Exchange rate providers — for currency conversion data
Travel Booking Partners — we partner with third-party travel service providers (including but not limited to Booking.com, Trip.com, and other major travel platforms) to offer flight, hotel, and accommodation bookings within the App. When you make a booking, your personal information (name, email, travel dates) is shared with the relevant booking partner to process and fulfill your reservation. These partners operate under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
Affiliate & Commission Disclosure — TripStack may earn a commission from bookings made through our travel partners. This does not affect the price you pay.
Analytics providers — for understanding app usage and improving the experience
Data Storage & Security
Trip data is stored locally on your device and may be synced via iCloud when available
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data
Receipt images are processed on-device and are not uploaded to external servers
We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal data
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services
You can delete your trip data at any time within the App
You can revoke camera and location permissions in iOS Settings
You can cancel your subscription at any time through Apple
You can request deletion of all data associated with your account by contacting us
Children's Privacy TripStack is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information.
Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App. Your continued use of TripStack after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
